Preinstalled Apps in Puppy

Hi,
Does anyone know which versions of puppy come with Pidgin and Firefox preinstalled?
I was unable to post that question on puppy's internet site. A list of all installed
apps would be a good thing to know.

You mean which of the various puplets?

There is some information if you click on screenshots at http://www.puppylinux.org/downloads/puplets

There are an assortment of Puplets, which are custom versions of Puppy with a different default set of apps.

But there is no need to use a Puplet if you just want Firefox and Pidgin. PET files for Firefox 2.0.0.14, Firefox 3.03, and Pidgin 2.41 exist, and can be downloaded and installed in your existing Puppy setup.

(I have FF 3 and Pidgin installed here after the fact in a default Puppy 4.12 installation, along with Vim, Gnu Emacs, Open Office 3, Sun's 1.6 JDK, and IBM's Eclipse IDE.)
