GNUMake on puppy
 

Is there any way to install GNU Make on puppy linux 3.01???
I mean, they give you the source but i don't have GNUMake to compile it...

Well you can compile source code without make too, you just have to do it all manually :) and it _can_ be a bit frustrating..but then again, if there was a binary package for it, somebody would have had to compile it first.

To install make in Puppy301 you will need to download the devx_301.sfs file from here. Then it depends on how you run Puppy. If you only run of the CD or use a "frugal install" all you have to do is place the file on the same partition as your pup_save.2fs file and reboot.
If you are running a full install you will have to mount the devx file and copy it's contents to /.
