Epson LX300 (9 pin Dot Matrix Printer) to work with Puppy 528
 

Hi guys. I am trying to set up a EPSON LX300 (9 Pin Dot Matrix Printer) to work with Puppy 528. It sees it and prints a TEST Page perfectly. However when asked to print from a Word Processor it prints every word Twice and with a strange look to it. Can anyone help me please.

Answer:I am using Open Office Libre Word Processor to print with. Everything appears to be OK on the wysiwyg screen.Using GEANY TEXT EDITOR it prints well. I think I see my problem insofar as Open Office is geared towards Newer Bubblejet and Laser Printers. Is there anything that can be done to these Open Office Programs to make them more Dot-Matrix friendly.Anyhow my problem is solved otherwise. Thank you Mr Frank Bell

What word processing program are you using and have you tested printing from other programs, such as a text editor?
