Changing default applications doesn't work Slacko64 6.9.5 alpha
OK. I have a little netbook with a full hard drive install (not frugal) and can't make the changes stick.
Under Setup in the menu you can make the changes for default applications but upon save nothing changes. Thinking it might just be the install I booted up my Slackware laptop on a live Slacko64 usb stick and it behaves the same way. Now I need to find a way to change things to my liking. Any suggestions? |
Well, let that be a lesson to me. I used DuckDuckGo to search and came up empty and so made this thread. Now I use Google and get all sorts of answers.

defaultchooser is a script .
Likely is located in /usr/local/bin . I do not use it, since I run Puppy 4.3 mainly, and likely would have changed the code already. If the code does not work correctly in defaultchooser script, the only way to find out is to run it from terminal after removing all Code:
