Your version above worked on my system using /dev/pts/0.

At is a little complicated, but a useful command.

I am looking for something better than Pschedule which I find difficult to understand and use.

I would like a simple reminder program.

For example:

Show a message on Thursday, 12/18/14 that says, "Dr. Sawbones appt. at 3:30 pm.

Preferably a GUI version.

hmm that can be done using "zenity"

"at" is very intelligent when you know how to use it.

I ran this on Wed 12/17/14.

And got "Thank god its thursday"

But it's Wednesday. ??

It should not run until tommorrow.

Can't open /var/run/atd.pid to signal atd. No atd running?
We'll get it figured out. :-)

In the form of Puppy you are using, when you right click on the desktop or left click on the main menu on the bottom left can you find "Manage System Services" ?

If so can you find mention of the at Daemon?

My version does not have Manage System Services.

I added /usr/bin/at to Startup Apps.

We'll get it figured out. :-)
That was untested, thats why i emoved it.. need to figure out if at schedule tasks when piped successfully..
