LQ kicks me out of messages
Admin mails, community bulletin, zero reply posts get unchecked

Summary says it all. Happened infrequently over the last years, repetition is increasingly more frequent to now weekly / daily. I have to recheck them manually. Why?

Hi Jeremy,
this happens now in about a weekly cycle. It is really annoying, can't you do something about it -- debugging or so?

Hello, If your email hard bounces, you are automatically unsubscribed from all emails (by design).

Why would it do that? I never had a problem with that account.

This is completely outside the control of LQ - you'd need to contact your email provider.

I contacted them. The following is my translation of their answer:

Quote:
For outgoing mail servers, the "HELO"-output (server names its name) and "Hostname"-output (server sends its name) must be identical according to best practice. In this case, they are not.

This is not only the behavior of a misconfigured outgoing mail server but also typical for spam senders. And for the latter reason, these messages are rejected by us still in the acceptance process and sent back to the sender with an undeliverable message.

In this case, you should contact the sender and inform them about the misconfiguration.
