Question X includes

I am new to Linux. I have Mandrake 8.0 installed. When I try to compile a source using ./configure I get error:

checking for X...configure: Can't find X includes please check your installation and add the correct paths.

Could someone tell me where and what I need to add to my config file.

Thanks,
ddpicard

the configure scripts checks to see that you have all the components necessary to run the program you're trying to compile. either you don't have X installed, which seems unlikely, or you don't have the X development packages installed, which is probably what it is. you'll need to install the Xdevelopment files - check your installation cds.
