I don't think I'd ever seen this kind of thread hijacking before. In fact, the weird/interesting manner in which the discussion went off-topic makes me believe this might not even be hijacking at all, but rather something unintentional based on natural psychological phenomena. I'm not even sure what to say, honestly. I know us moderators are supposed to give you all slaps on the wrist for this sort of thing, but at this point I'll just wait for the forum-specific mods to deal with it. BTW, a suggestion was made to move the replies to General, and FWIW, I think it's a good idea even though it seems like the excitement has died down (with possible EOL having been reached).

Have no doubt, us moderators get slapped on the wrist too in certain cases. Either by fellow moderators, or by Jeremy himself. We just keep that sort of thing backstage (at least most of the time). And yes, this post was a carefully crafted deflection.

First of all the above post of mine was a pure jest, nothing more.

Being a moderator is a pain, I think, you just can't take part in any kind of fun and banter since it always contributes to the derailment of the thread, BTW, unSpawn's post came as a surprise, it seems brianL's signature had an effect on him

@OP: slightly on-topic - this line in your code is wrong. I'll let you google to determine why.

Code:
. . .
		char buf[256] = "hahaha1\n";
. . .
		buf[256] = 0;  //WHY IS BUF ALWAYS EMPTY??
. . .
