Thanx in advance.

Hello,

Sorry but what do you mean by "remod device"
If that's a Set Top Box based on ST processors, see STAPI and its documentation which is quite good.... else can't help you without more info

thanx for your response
its a external remod device connected to the processor and the control will be through GPIO.
something related to RF channel 3/4 switch

but i don't hav any details of remod device

i am very new to this STB concept, Please do help me

The remod device is responsible for the re-modulation of analogue audio L+R signals and the corresponding CVBS video signal into a UHF-VHF modulated signal.

Well I'd like to help you but I know decoding steps... And If I've well understood, It seems that remod is an encoding step (In fact the opposite of the demod)...
So If you are lucky, everything is done in hardware and you still have an API... So once you have understood hardware and API, it becomes trivial programming... and if you are unlucky you'll have to code drivers or some remod algorithms :(

Hi All,

Can anyone give me some links abt the tuner working, like how does it takes the input, process it and then gives the frequency.....very new to this, just want to know the operation of Tuner....

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Well in most of cases everything is driven through I2C bus. You write registers and Tuner interprets that as a command and may send you a hack (always through I2C bus)
