why do i have this error


ll_rw_block:device 03:01: only 4096 char blocks implemented (1024)



what does this error stands for.

wild guess, but maybe it has something to with your inodes? Whatever those are.....

How often do you get this error, and how many of them. What do you do to get the error? Looking in the kernel source file: /linux/drivers/block/ll_rw_blk.c it looks as if the block size that the kernel thinks that you device is differs from what it really is. Check the output of 'ls -l /dev/hd* and you should see a number like "3, 1" before the date. This is the major, minor number for the device. The device 3, 1 on my machine is hda1. first partition of the first hard drive. What type of problems do you see aside from the error messages?
