Which GTK Widget to use?

I'm writing an app that needs to display folders like a file browser. I'm curious as to what type of widgets to use?

Just in practicing with the display it looks like a Table container displaying Image widgets might work... is there a better / cleaner / more traditional way to do it? Like a drawing area or something?

tia,
