Where to begin

Hello, I am new to programming and I don't have a clue where as to begin. I would like to get in to web page developement and I would like to eventually use a program like Dreamweaver. I've been reccommended to use a multidtude of languages including PHP, Perl, and Python. What do you think?

Well.... depends what actually do you want to do? Because with Dreamweaver the things which you do is lame designs. Of course, Dreamweaver is an IDE for WebDev but actually it's not a proper one. For an IDE I recommend you NuSphere PhpED. If you want to do web design, just use Adobe Photoshop or something like this(though Photoshop is the standart for visual design in general). For the languages... just start with PHP which is more web oriented and then you can have a grasp on Python to just have a vague idea how system software is done(although with Python you can do web apps). That's my advice.

Cheers,
