Programming KDE with QT
Programming GNOME with GTK
Also whats difference between them as i come to know both are GUI prograaming tools.

Qt is c++ and rather high level and object oriented. very self contained almost like a language unto itself that wraps everything and uses object oriented inheritance even to the extent of say Java. KDE just wrapps and extents Qt. (you can of course use the lowest level from within Qt/KDE)

GTK is c and lower level and not object oriented (please no one yell at me )
Gnome extends the function of GTK some but also makes heavy use of many other libs
GNOME has a CORBA ORB (DCOM) and many small non gui libs and extensions including an extension to stdc called glib and other interesting stuff like Bonobo documant architecture (ala MS OLE) seperate imaging libs and what not.

I swear it's really just a matter of temperament which one you like better.
usually people swear by one and find the other a drag
