what is the function for reading a directory name


Hai friends

I am developing an application in windows. I want to know the function for reading directory names .I don't know whether there is any such function......................If anyone knows please tell me.

There are actually two mechanisms for programmatically reading directories that I know of in Linux. The first one, ftw(), is a standard one that is supported in generic UNIX systems as well. The second one opendir() and readdir() I believe are Linux specific. You can man each of the functions in order to determine which mechanism will work best for your application.
