What do I need to solve this?

Okay, I'm as green as grass when it comes to programming. What I am looking for is a signpost on how to reach a destination.

Goal: A simple web gui that runs on our homepage, that performs like our autohotkey scripts. It's all simple stuff, but we have dozens of them. They perform functions like pinging a set of servers etc. I want to get around having to download our executables(compiled scripts) to the local computer, and the necessary prompts, etc.

So, what...php, java, ?

not java. If you are working with java at all it would be in the form of javascript. Because i am not sure of your exact requirements i am not sure what your best option is. Sometimes php is very useful as well in web coding. I have used both. Take a look at http://www.w3schools.com/ for both php and javascipt basics
