web fetching C++


say I wanted to download http://www.google.com/index.html to my computer through a c++ program, any ideas as to how I would do that?

Strange question. There are many ways to do it.

- low-level socket programming via the C API
- a C++ socket class library (which you may need to search for -- there are a few)
- a HTTP library in either C or C++
- executing an external program utility like wget/curl
