using sql dumps for demos

hello:

I have recently found myself in the situation of having to develop some demos using sql databases. I know that I'm the one that should build those systems, but I've found the databases are quite general, like DB from stores, banks, airports...

The question is, do you know where I can get some "general" sql dumps? I don't want (like) to spend so much time filling my tables with demo data, and I'd like to check my performance using large db, not just 10-20 records....

Do you know where I can download some of those dumps?

Thanks

I was going to point you to the "world.tar.gz" file which was available on mysql's web page. But it seems to be taken off-line. Apparently other people have noticed too.

Hopefully they put it back...

is it just me or there aren't quite many test dumps? hehehe I might just go and create one.... I am trying to find some dictionarys and text files but they are quite "underground" since I understand they are used by passwords crackers..... well I'll keep searching, please if anyone knows (has) a free sql dump for a store (with tables like customer, product, provider etc) I'd be grateful!

Thanks

Ah! The examples database "world.tar.gz" seems back on-line:

http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/M....sql/from/pick

For usage instructions see:
