Using istream::get() & istream::getline() mutiple times

Hi.

I just noticed that if I use get() and getline() members of the istream class in a single program more than once, they only work the first time. The second time control simply skips to the next statement instead of waiting for the user to enter his string. What's up with this?

Thanks.
