Angry to retrieve network link status


hi
i need a C funtion or C program to retrieve network link status. The program should be continuously running and watching the network link . If i plug in the network cable it should show network is up . If i unplug the network cable from my NIC card it should show me Network down.( SImilar to Network status Displayed in right bottom corner of windows os)

Thanks in advance.

Try searchin in proc files. or may be NetLink Sockets
