Thread Program Not Working

Is there any problem with running thread programs on Linux 2.2.16-22.
When I run the proram on this Redhat Machine the pthread_create call does not seem to call the function passed as the argument in the call.

The execution stops at the above line. Where as if I run the exact same code on another Linux Machine 2.4.7-10, it works fine. What could be the problem

Any Comments???
