Tales of a reformed Script kiddy/Programmer hybrid (Or How I learned to love C)
 

I want to write a book on Amazon; and sell it for pocket money.
To the mods, I apologize for my script kiddy like behavior.
Anyways, with that out of the way, should I write a book?
And what should it be on?
And as for the C part, I've been studying :)
Going to post some of my source... Eventually.
High-school isn't tough, just time consuming.
Which makes finding time to get on a computer difficult.

What exactly are you asking ? What book to write ?

If yes, why do you think writing a book is a good idea for you ? My points are:

1) do you think there is a field of knowledge in which your knowledge is better/deeper than the one of others ?
2) and/or do you think you can present your knowledge in a better way than others have already done ?


In general, have you heard of "entry barrier" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barriers_to_entry ) ?

You should absolutely write a book. It will take much more time than you estimate, and will also sell much worse than you estimate but there are several reasons to do it:

1. It is the best way to learn how to write
2. You can tell people you are an author

As for what to write about, if you have to ask then you will never complete the book. Write about what you like to write about.

There are enough projects in the opensource world which need writers for their documentation. You should contribute to such a project (if you really have the knowledge).

I strongly encourage you to write a book and I have many reasons to support why you should.

You will learn a great deal not only about yourself but others that assist you in putting the book together.

The publisher that helps you to incorporate and promote the book for you will not only be an inspiration but another intelligent person to learn skills, tactics and techniques from.

You'll meet new people that promotes positive feedback and some effective criticism that will help you to see things in a different light. Perhaps even teach you some things about life that you were not aware of yet-

Writing a book is a great opportunity to turn over a new leaf and start something new.
And with that it will give you rewards in a few different kinds of currencies.

I'll venture off into this journey. I'm definitely going to call on the community many times, but I'll get it done.
