SVGALib

Would you say that SVGALIB is closer to being an industry standard, or closer to putting a round peg in a square hole?

I'm excited about using it as it has similarity to the old DOS (M$ QuickC) commands and converting some of my old programs shouldn't be too hard. However, there will be some learning curve and I don't want to go through the process of learning it, if it is obsolete and only used by die hards that aren't ready to graduate on (like me). But if its a Linux favorite and up to speed with the latest programming options. Then I want to pursue it further.

Any input?

Thanks,
Ace

I think that the industry standard would be Gtk+ and/or Qt. Gtk+ is C based and QT is C++ based.
