Suggest a terminal source to modify ...

I need two terminal sources (like xterm, eterm):
* one as small (and simple) as possible to look how terminal works.
* second I need is an easily embeddable one; preferrably with C++ interface. I am gonna to embed two terminals into my application and it'd be hard to do it with the term, developed to be single.
