Talking Step through a bash script


Hello again,

This has probably been asked, but I couldn't find it. Is there a tool to step through a bash shell script?

bash -x script

might do. There's also some bash debuggers around - maybe freshmeat.

also,
use
Code:
set -o nounset
will catch any unset variables, v. useful sometimes can save lots of time
looking for typos.
