start program on startup
I am running RED-HAT 7.0 and it doesn't run X !!!

I am interested in starting a "hello world" program on startup.
I tried to add a line in /etc/rc.d/rc.local at the end of the file

but when I reboot the program runs before the startup process ends and only when the "hello world" finishes I can see [root/localhost /root]#

Is there any other way to get my program start automatically write after [root/localhost /root]# ???

thanx - HTS.

add it to the end of your /root/.bashrc
