Is the value of task_size (which is present in mm_struct of task_struct) sufficient to describe total memory usage by a process?? Is it used for user processes only??
I think someone could help you if you send the source code or a link.
A value is simple a value you can use any name but without the contest (the source code) is simply impossible answer your question.
