Sign a JAR file with a GPG key?

I am trying to sign a JAR file that I created. Instead of creating a new alias using keytool, I would like to use a key that I created using GPG. Is this possible?

Sure, why not?

See the manpages for gpg(1). The --sign / --clearsign options probably will interest you.
