shared memory

since shared memory is not synchronized.

if we want to avoid reading a memory space when it is being write, we have to use some mechanism(e.g. semaphore), right?

Usually you use a mutex - this is a semapahore that has two possible values - 0 or 1.
0 means okay to access, 1 means not okay to access, for example.
