serial communications


Can anyone point me to some docs for serial communication programming from c++ for linux/unix. I would like to read data sent to com 1 and pipe the information into a txt file.

I believe it should be similar to this post : http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=45069 where you need to inb outb and call ioperm and whatnot. good luck

Seems to me like opening /dev/ttyS0 and reading from it, then writing the output would be a lot easier...
