i am compiling a .c file with kernel and i am getting following error
message--

error: ‘MOD_INC_USE_COUNT’ undeclared (first use in this function)
error: ‘MOD_DEC_USE_COUNT’ undeclared (first use in this function)

I know this error is coming because these macros are removed from linux-2.6 kernel code.Is there any solution of this problem excepting making them comment??

Please share your knowledge on this topic

They were removed ever since the 2.5.x kernels, and all newer kernels take care of this for you now. What exactly are you doing? Could you share with use what you are trying to do? On that note though, have a look here at this mailing list, it may help you - http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-L...5-11/5557.html

Cheers,
