Post RaM optimizers for Linux

Hi friends,
I am doing a project on Memory management as a part of my Operating system course(graduate level). I have chosen to implement a RAM cleaner(optimizer) for Linux . Can any one give me directions about already developed such programs or any suggestions in the source code of the kernel .
Any help wouldbe greatly helpful to me.

Sorry, I am afraid I don't have anything to offer that you won't find by searching google.

Good luck.

He meant the O'Reilly's book "Linux Device Drivers".
You can go buy it, or you can go read it online (maybe download it) as it is open sourced.
