python (karamba/superkaramba apps)

Ive been modifying some karamba apps ,(python scripts?or apps?),,anyhow im having alot of fun because its imediate gradification to see the apps change in apperence and function after i edit them, and reload..Anyhow ive never programmed before, and im having alot of fun doing this.I know these are written in the python language, and they seem simple enough. But is it hard to acually learn python.I would love to create some of my own karamba/superkaramba apps. But is python hard to learn for a programming virgin?

In my opinion, Python is easy for beginners and the experienced to learn. There is complexity, but you're not forced to it. Have a look here: http://www.python.org/doc/Intros.html, in particular, the second section for non-programmers.

Thanks CroMagnon, that is a great link. Im gonna dig in,im pretty motivated to finally learn a language. I was taking some c++ coursework and though it was pretty cool, but a week into the course the instructor had to take a leave. And then i started to mess around with python and its flowing in my mind easy enough, so now im gonna learn it instead..

Keep in mind that there is an examples directory in the superkaramba.tar.gz. There are simple themes there that use the python api in superkaramba.
