Python (ideally 3) - library to extract info such as bitrate from audio files

Can anyone recommend any library that could extract bitrate and some meta info (eg. title) from the currently played stream/song.
Is it possible to do it in a simple way in Python(3). I'm not a total newbie in python (or generally programming) but I am far from an expert, either.

Any particular libraries or recommendations?
