Problem with target Linux

Hi all! my first post here :P

I'm currently developing a small konsole app for a game i'm making.

My OS is uBuntu 6.10 and i use kdev3 and gcc4 to build.

the problem is with my target system : CentOS 4.4

it tells me my app cannot start because my app needs glibc 2.4 but centOS works with glibc 2.3

Is there a way i can specify wich version of the library should be use. Or is there an even better approach to making sure my app is compatible with most linux box ?

hey thanks! I've been messing with it for 2 hours now.

I still get the same message, how do I set explicitly the version of glibc i want to use ?

I looked in documentation and their forums, and didnt seem to find what i was looking for
