a couple of possibilities

Rather than print out a part of a page, it would be better to have a button that sends the needed data to a printer-friendly formatted page that the user can preview. Then if he likes it, he can print it using the browser's print button. If you don't need preview, you can put a javascript command "onload(window.print())" in the formatted page to print it automatically once it has loaded.
