pmap vs jmap
Can someone explain how these 2 differ? I ran both of them against a Java process and it appears they report the same shared libraries but each report a different amount of memory used. The pmap in particular also separates the code and data section of the shared libraries, and also a lot of other non shared libraries stuff. Just wondering which reports the true memory usage.

As far as I can tell from the jmap manpage, jmap does not show the stack of the selected process.
Maybe this brings in a slight difference in reporting the mem usage. Please correct me if I am wrong.
