PHP won't recognize my Configuration File (php.ini) path
Hi all,

I want to install Zend Optimizer when all this start give me headache.
I've upgrade httpd and phpin my fedora 6. All were fine except when i installed zend optimizer 3.3.0 the zend not even loaded in my phpinfo() page.
After struggling about 2 days here, i found that my Configuration File (php.ini) Path in the phpinfo() page was quite strange because it stated php.ini in /usr/local/lib but actually the place was in /etc/php.ini(It is a sysmbolic link to the /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini). I've try make a symbolic link from /usr/local/lib to /etc/php.ini but it make my php failed to load and even i copy the actual file as result as same.So i just delete the php.ini in the /usr/local/lib to make my php works again.

Please advice as i don't know anything else to do to make my zend optimizer works..TQ
help! help!

Make a backup of the working /etc/php.ini and then add the following at the end of the file:

assuming from your post that Zend is installed in /user/local/Zend

sorry but when i check the php.ini in /etc, it already have the zend modules as you stated as it is symlink to the /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini. Any advice?

Did you restart your webserver (apache?) after installing Zend optimizer?

i was resolved when i deleted all the php binary installation files in my server then i build them back. Then all works!

I think maybe so many php installation there make this all mess up..
