perl->large data structures->copying
I have a LARGE perl data structure that I need to cut up, splice and basically just screw with. I need to, however, preserve one copy of it. Is there an easy way to copy a structure? I can, of course, make pointers and whatnot to it, but then I'm still talking about the same structure and all the changes will be reflected in the pointer to it. I'm looking to copy the structue. I thought about printing it to a file, and then later eval'ing it, but that seems like more trouble than it's worth. Any thoughts?
