I am trying to install another window manager (fluxbox) but when i do ./configure I get the message " no C compiler in $PATH " How can i fix this, ive already tried to install the devel packages off the RH9 cd but I cannot. Can i just download gcc and put that in some path somewhere? lol I dont mean somewhere i mean wherever it goes, LOL. thanks

i think you can try to see in the makefile where it is picking the compiler from or which compiler it is using...i had a similar problem while compiling vim on compaq system, i had to manually put the whole path of cc in the makefile.....

should work for you too

btw gcc is normally present in the directory /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin, so if these are not in your path, you might want to append these to your $PATH
