Pasting sql data into phpmyadmin & copying data from phpmyadmin

Hi,

I'm working with phpmyadmin and find it frustrating that I can't paste sql data from an outside source into the SQL section. On a long query with joins and such it is very tedious. Any way around this?

On the same note I would like to copy some of the queries and or messages phpmyadmin produces. Sometimes I see that there is an opportunity to copy messages but I don't know how to trigger that.

Any help to solve this is appreciated.

R

You question is very general. It would help to have some specific, step-by-step examples of what you have tried so far.

Without more detail, it will be very difficult for anyone to offer you any construction assistance.

Agreed, a much better description of the problem you are experiencing is necessary.

How are you attempting to paste into "the SQL area", and which form or view does that refer to exactly?

Are you attempting to post data, as stated, or queries as is more apparent from your brief description?

Where are you pasting from and how are you capturing the thing to be pasted?

Help us understand.

Thanks NevemTeve,

Perfect!!! Works copying and pasting from phpmyadmin.

I also discovered that you can paste a query created in an editor into the pma__bookmarks table. A little more work but do-able.

Again Thanks!!
