Packages creation for Linux?

Hello

I use Linux (Red hat 7.3). I'm tyring create packages and import them and it gives me an error.
If I create package.. Is it correct for Linux?

package somePackage; // /home/mike/somePackage
import somePackage; // /home/mike/somePackage

I don't know but it gives me an error ..
Have to provide absolute path? How does it works?

Thanks

Although I'm not very familiar with RedHat, I doubt if the 'package' and 'import' commands are valid commands to make RPM packages, or even valid commands at all for that matter.

You don't specify exactly what kind of package you are trying to make from what kind of source (.tar.gz , .deb binary-executables, ...)

If you have a source tar ball (say: someApp-2.1.1-src.tar.gz) you could try:

rpm -t someApp-2.1.1-src.tar.gz

And what are the errors you get?

That sure looks like Java :-) Is this a question on Java or RPMs (Redhat Package Manager)

If this concerns Java: A class file of package "X" does not need to import
the package it belongs to unless the package it belongs to has needed
classes in subdirectories.
