no gcc in 10.1


I've been trying to use gcc on my mandrake 10.1, you may remember me from a post a couple of days ago. I've tried to find the installation files for gcc, but i can't. so i just gave up. now i tried to intall a file from source, and of course it tells me it cant find "gcc", so now i know i have to have it.

can some one please help me findit. as far as i can tell its not on my install cd's.

Thank you very much. I was driving today and remembered "There is a place on the net that has all the rpms and stuff in a data base. Now what was that url?"

Now maybe I can get this project underway.

well, now my questions is where, and how to install it. I did rpm -i and it keeps telling me
