Netlink Java RAW_SOCKET

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to read Netlink datagrams using java without having to do JNI. I am trying to write a java thread that can recieve packets from ulog. I have went though google and have not found any examples which generally means to me that it requires native code or is so easy that I am a silly ass for asking the question.

Are they just normal datagrams and I just need to parse the packet or is do I need a native interface

the sockets are created with a netlink address family constant, and for some a netlink specific type as well, so you'd need to pass that to the socket() call. other than that, i think you could do it fine.
