netbeans hanging while compiling

Hi all,
I am a java developer, i am using IDE netbeans 6.7.1,tomcat 6.0.20 with centos 5.4, when i try to compile then IDE hangs, then i can work only after restarting the IDE
MYSQL version is 5.X
I face the same issue on fedora 11 too, thats y i have changed my OS to CENT OS
Pls help me to resolve this

Hi -

You haven't given too much information.

Off the top of my head, I'd suggest running "top" and check whether any processes (for example, netbeans) is using an excessive amount of CPU and/or memory.

If "top" shows that you've exceeded available RAM and started swapping - that could absolutely be the problem.

the cpu usage is about 45 - 50% & most of the other process are @ sleeping mode
