need help on shell scripts!!!
Okay, I'm totally new to Unix! I need to pass this class in order to get my Computer Networking Degree. I have an assignment due tommorow. (PS- I'm not a programmer in anyway shape or form)
I just need help on this problem Write a script to display the following Bash Builtin variables. A. The PID of the current process B. The parent PID of the current process C. All the command line parameters in one long string. Input at least three parameters. D. The count of the command line parameters E. The file name of the script, be sure to use to the shell variable that provides this information. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
Didn't your instructor give you some resources to answer these questions?

Yea, The book, but its like reading Greek!

try reading it the right way up....
do not ask homework questions on this site. Your degree should be based on your knowledge and understanding, not ours. |
Seems kind of strange that an instructor would just give a shell scripting assignment, at random, to non-programmers, without explaining how to do it.

I got set an assignment about the contrast in roman life within the class structures they had. I was so scared. then i remembered *my* lecture didn't start for another hour, and went and drank tea instead.
