Could someone help me understand how to retrieve a web page via C.

My probelm is not the networking part but of the protocol part.. the "fetchPage()" part.

void fetchPage( int sd, const char * url, char * page )
{
// what commands do i need to send here?
}
int main()
{
char page[1024] = "\0";
const char * url = "/cgi-bin/test.pl"
const char * addr = "www.myaddr.com"
int port = 80;

int sd = createWebSocket( addr, port );
fetchPage( sd, url, page );

return 0;
}

thanks for your time and help!
