Need an UDDI server to publish my WS in glassfish

Hi! I have been digging the all day and couldnt find a solution!
Could anybody help me here?
My problem:
Need to publish my web services on my linux box. It seems thar the sun java system app server doesn't come with an internal Registry server. It requests me to install one and provide the URL http://localhost/location to publish my web service. Here is where i`m stuck!
the idea is to consume them from a .NET front end interface.
have found several options:
Sun Java Service Registry 3.1 => couldn find the download link. only docs.
JUDDI. => don`t undertadn the instalation procces. all FAQs in the wiki are empty doesnt have a howto for SJSAP.
METRO Successor of jwsdp => dont even know if it has a registry service.
I don' t have as much time as a research demands to get it running by my self without help.

Hi -

Personally, I use JBoss - I don't have any direct experience with Glassfish. But...

This link suggests that you should be able to configure a UDDI registry from the Glassfish "Application Server" management console:

https://glassfish.dev.java.net/javae.../AG/gbbjk.html
Quote:
Adding a registry is equivalent to creating a connector connection pool and adding a corresponding resource to the Application Server. The web services functionality is provided as a convenience.

Add or remove a web services registry with Admin Console at Application Server > Web Services | Registry. Click Add to add a new registry to which to publish web services. The Add Registry Page appears.

Use this page to create a Registry Access Point (RAP). When you add a registry, specify the following parameters:

* JNDI Name: the connection resource pool (JNDI) name of the registry. The JNDI Name of this connector resource is the JNDI Name of the registry.
* Choose the type of the registry to add: UDDI 3.0 or ebXML.
* Publish URL and Query URL: the addresses for publishing and querying the registry, respectively. The format is: http://<hostname>/<path of registry installation>.
* User name and password for the registry.
Also, one of the [i]very[i/] best books on Web Services, broad architectural issues with SOA, and solutions to nitty-gritty technical problems is:

"SOA Using Java(TM) Web Services", Mark D. Hansen

This excellent book is a must-have for anybody doing work with SOA in Java (IMHO). But you should find it particularly useful, because the examples are written using Glassfish.

'Hope that helps .. PSM

thanks! usefull data! as i have seen the sun app server 9,1 (glassfish) doesnt have a registry server.
the following is from the app server help page related to publishng web services.
Quote:
Note - The Application Server does not come with an internal registry. To publish web services to an internal registry, download and install the registry server. To publish a web service to an external registry, specify the address of the external registry.
as time went by we decided to do it all in java and stop loosing time trying to find an uddi server. so now im dealing with swing... nice fight.. this Thursday we must have something running.
Thanks for your help!
