ncurses, how to scroll window

Hi,
I've tried wscrl function, it scrolls a window, but the text in the window is lost. How can I scroll the window without text losing?

Anybody knows some useful links (howto's,examples) about ncurses (i know only TLDP)

I may be wrong but i think that you can ..

a: output all the data you want to a virtual window. These are called pads. They are not ristricted by the size of the screen and thus apparently you can scroll within the boundary of your pad.(google ncurses pad's)

b: Put all your data in a file and then write some sort of file viewer that formats the data onto the screen using the file as the source recreating missing lines as and when needed as you scroll. ?!?!?????

I am in the middle of tying to implement something like this myself so I will be interested in any corrections to the above views.
