Multicasting Setup Help is needed

hi friends,
I am new to 'multicast' programming. I have gone through the previous posts. But my requirement is not met. I am having a single network in which two servers , 20 clients and a SWITCH are there. The server and clients will be sending/ receiving data among themselves. So far its unicast based transmission (point to point). The underlying protocol is UDP and OS is RHEL4 with x86 machines. But I want to setup multicasting based transmission among them. I have seen multicast sender and receiver programs. How should I configure the network? Should I make any entry in the SWITCH or in clients, in regard to multicast group address? Please post some suggestions. The underlying API is C, C++ based.

thank u.

I don't know much about multicasting, but I Googled "'multicast programming' linux" and a lot of stuff came up, namely reference to mrouted. Maybe you should look into that package. It also appears you can use setsockopt to change multicast settings for a socket.
