Model Simple Pendulum Graphically

I would like to model a simple pendulum such that a user could see it visually to get a feel for what it's truly doing as far as motion. I would prefer to do the actually analysis in C/C++ and then have some sort of graphical layer on top that I could program. What do you suggest? Also, can you link me to a tutorial please? Thanks!

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/...s/xengine-1.0/
contains a source package that may have code useful for what you want.

I'll look into that. Thanks. Are things like OpenGL, GTK+ or QT options for this? Thanks!

Qt would be able to help you with what you wanted to do. You may want to look at the various examples it has, the following a tetris style game would probably put you on the right track as far as the graphics is concerned.

xengine uses only XLIBS. For GTK you might look into the gtk-extra widgets. There are some special widgets for plotting, etc. You can get the package here:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/...0.0-i486-1.tgz
or look above in Sources/Extra/gtk+extra-1.0.0 if you want to compile from source.
gtk-extra provides libs and headers and a few demo programs that will show you what's available.
